MOSCOW, April 21 (Itar-Tass) —— Ninety thousand tourists from Russia
will visit Cuba in 2012, "this figure increased by almost 50 percent in
comparison with 2010," Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Dagoberto
Rrodriguez said in an exclusive interview with ITAR-TASS on Saturday.

"In 2012, we expect more than 90,000 tourists from Russia. For
comparison - - 56,000 Russians visited Cuba in 2010 and more than 78,000
in 2011," the diplomat stressed. "This promotes the strengthening of
ties between our countries."

The deputy foreign minister noted that there is no difficulty for
Russians to get to Cuba. "There are a lot of weekly flights, this give a
great impulse to our possibilities in the tourist sphere," Rodriguez
said. "We hope that the growth of tourists from Russia will continue and
believe that tourism has both economic and cultural value."

"Russian tourists note Cubans' benevolence. This is gratefulness which
our people have with regard to Russia for aid in difficult times," the
diplomat said in conclusion.
