Risky to do Business in Cuba:
Cuba still has high levels of risk, most notably political
interference. Partial relaxation of U.S. economic restrictions are
positive for tourism and domestic service industry. Government control
of business but a weak regulatory environment make Cuba one of the most
difficult places to do business in the world. Even with the recent
reform agenda, which is reflected in modest improvement in some of its
risk scores, political violence risk is increasing. Given the country's
antiquated infrastructure, its supply chain is highly susceptible to
climatic conditions, especially hurricanes.
