Minister of Agriculture, Ulises Rosales del Toro, has called for making
a better use of resources and of electricity in the country.
At a national meeting on issues related to the potato harvest held at
the Arnaldo Ramírez Crop company, Rosales –who is also a member of the
Party's Politburo- noted the importance of encouraging men and women to
imitate the example of the top producers.
The best growers in the country were present at the meeting and they
noted that for the next harvest it is essential to watch over the
quality of seeds, level certain fields, implement effective irrigation,
hire more workers and be rigorous over plant health.
All the outstanding groups and individual growers were given
acknowledgements by the ministry and the trade union.
