USDA Exports: Corn Up, Soybeans & Wheat Down

Wheat: Net sales of 129,200 metric tons were 72 percent below the
previous week and 54 percent under the prior 4-week average. Increases
reported for Indonesia (58,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations),
Colombia (37,500 MT), Egypt (36,800 MT), Cuba (27,500 MT), Brazil
(25,000 MT), and Nigeria (10,900 MT), were partially offset by decreases
for unknown destinations (93,100 MT). Net sales of 179,200 MT for
delivery in 2008/09 were mainly for Mexico (78,800 MT), Brazil (34,000
MT), unknown destinations (33,000 MT), and Cuba (25,000 MT). Decreases
were for Kenya (20,000 MT). Exports of 321,800 MT were 58 percent below
the previous week and 45 percent under the prior 4-week average. The
primary destinations were Algeria (51,600 MT), Japan (46,400 MT) Nigeria
(39,400 MT), Mexico (37,200 MT), Egypt (36,800 MT), Cuba (27,500 MT),
Colombia (27,500 MT), and South Korea (25,800 MT).

Corn: Net sales of 868,900 metric tons were 83 percent above the
previous week and 36 percent over the prior 4-week average. Increases
reported for Japan (360,300 MT), South Korea (172,700 MT), Mexico
(116,000 MT, including 14,900 MT switched from unknown destinations),
Venezuela (97,000 MT), Syria (87,100 MT, including 85,300 MT switched
from unknown destinations), and the Dominican Republic (78,300 MT), were
partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (122,400 MT),
Taiwan (46,600 MT), Guatemala (27,500 MT), and Ecuador (22,300 MT). Net
sales of 53,600 MT for delivery in 2008/09 were for South Korea (50,000
MT) and Canada (3,600 MT). Exports of 1,112,200 MT were 11 percent
below the previous week and 14 percent under the prior 4-week average.
The primary destinations were Japan (290,300 MT), Egypt (150,000 MT),
Mexico (129,700 MT), South Korea (121,100 MT), Taiwan (99,500 MT), and
Syria (87,100 MT).

Barley: Net sales reductions of 2,300 MT were reported for Taiwan (500
MT) and Japan (1,800 MT). Exports of 18,300 MT were to Japan (15,500
MT), Taiwan (2,300 MT), and Mexico (400 MT).

Sorghum: Net sales of 69,800 MT were 5 percent above the previous week
and 46 percent over the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for
the Netherlands (60,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), France
(32,300 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (31,300 MT), and
Japan (11,800 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown
destinations (67,300 MT). Net sales of 6,100 MT for delivery in 2008/09
were for Japan. Exports of 65,300 MT were 47 percent below the previous
week and 43 percent under the prior 4-week average. The destinations
were France (32,300 MT), Mexico (14,400 MT), Japan (10,800 MT), and
Ireland (7,700 MT).

Rice: Net sales of 175,700 MT were 98 percent above the previous week
and two and two-thirds times the prior 4-week average. Increases were
reported for the Philippines (70,400 MT), Mexico (56,600 MT), Cuba
(10,000 MT), El Salvador (8,700 MT), Haiti (6,200 MT), Guatemala (5,900
MT), and Turkey (5,700 MT). Exports of 94,100 MT were 42 percent above
the previous week and 11 percent over the prior 4-week average. The
primary destinations were Japan (26,000 MT), South Korea (19,900 MT),
Haiti (17,600 MT), Mexico (10,600 MT), Canada (5,000 MT), Taiwan (3,700
MT), and El Salvador (3,100 MT).

Soybeans: Net sales of 477,000 MT were down 18 percent from the
previous week, but up 21 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases reported for China (372,500 MT), Germany (65,400 MT, including
60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Japan (30,300 MT), Taiwan
(21,700 MT), and Canada (18,500 MT), were partially offset by decreases
for unknown destinations (54,500 MT). Exports of 408,200 MT were down 4
percent from the previous week and 36 percent from the prior 4-week
average. The primary destinations were China (129,000 MT), Japan
(78,400 MT), Germany (65,400 MT), Taiwan (42,500 MT), and Mexico (35,100
MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal: Net sales of 176,100 MT were 36 percent above
the previous week and 28 percent over the prior 4-week average.
Increases reported for the Philippines (63,300 MT), Germany (25,000 MT),
Australia (25,000 MT), Canada (17,300 MT), the Dominican Republic
(14,700 MT), and Poland (13,400 MT, including 12,000 MT switched from
unknown destinations), were partially offset by decreases for Venezuela
(12,500 MT) and unknown destinations (12,000 MT). Exports of 141,300 MT
were 26 percent below the previous week and 18 percent under the prior
4-week average. The primary destinations were Guatemala (32,600 MT),
Canada (22,800 MT), Ireland (14,600 MT), Poland (13,400 MT), Mexico
(12,300 MT), the Dominican Republic (11,000 MT), and Honduras (10,100 MT).

Soybean Oil: Net sales of 7,300 MT were mainly reported for Colombia
(6,100 MT), Canada (600 MT), and Lebanon (300 MT). Exports of 29,900 MT
were primarily to Colombia (10,200 MT), China (10,000 MT), the Dominican
Republic (7,100 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), and Mexico (1,100 MT).

Cotton: Net Upland sales of 134,500 running bales were down 72 percent
from the previous week and 60 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were mainly for China (48,500 RB), Turkey (24,200 RB), South
Korea (21,900 RB), Thailand (12,200 RB), and Taiwan (4,800 RB). Net
sales of 3,100 RB for delivery in 2008/09 were for Indonesia (2,100 RB)
and South Korea (1,000 RB). Exports of 283,700 RB were up 3 percent
from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average.
The primary destinations were China (109,800 RB), Mexico (31,200 RB),
Turkey (28,600 RB), Thailand (26,100 RB), Indonesia (19,000 RB), and
South Korea (12,800 RB). Net American Pima sales of 8,900 RB were
primarily for Pakistan (2,900 RB), India (2,400 RB), China (2,000 RB),
and Italy (1,400 RB). Exports of 29,900 RB were mainly to China (12,400
RB), India (5,000 RB), Indonesia (3,200 RB), Taiwan (1,900 RB), and
Pakistan (1,800 RB).

Hides and Skins: Net sales of 786,500 pieces were up 47 percent from
the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole
cattle hide sales of 781,200 pieces--a marketing-year high--were mainly
for China (416,100 pieces), South Korea (142,800 pieces), Taiwan (69,100
pieces), Hong Kong (62,300 pieces), and Thailand (29,700 pieces).
Exports of 495,700 pieces were down 3 percent from the previous week,
but up 4 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide
exports of 486,400 pieces were primary to China (217,500 pieces), South
Korea (114,200 pieces), Taiwan (49,700 pieces), Vietnam (23,900 pieces),
and Thailand (22,000 pieces).

Net sales of 90,500 wet blues were down 35 percent from the previous
week and 45 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
mainly for China (31,300 unsplit and 3,800 grain splits), Mexico (8,600
grain splits and 3,900 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (8,100 grain
splits), Hong Kong (7,800 unsplit), and Taiwan (7,800 unsplit). Exports
of 142,400 hides were down 9 percent from the previous week and 1
percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were
China (33,900 unsplit and 6,400 grain splits) Mexico (18,700 grain
splits and 4,700 unsplit), Hong Kong (19,900 unsplit), Italy (15,700
unsplit and 4,000 grain splits), and the Dominican Republic (14,300
grain splits and 3,200 unsplit). Net sales reductions of splits
totaling 17,200 pounds were for South Korea (4,700 pounds) and Hong Kong
(12,400 pounds). Exports of 727,800 pounds were down 10 percent from
the previous week, but up 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were South Korea (355,300 pounds), Hong Kong (237,600
pounds), and Italy (135,000 pounds).

Beef: Net sales of 8,200 MT were primarily for Mexico (2,500 MT),
Canada (2,200 MT), Vietnam (1,800 MT), Japan (800 MT), Taiwan (300 MT),
and Hong Kong (200 MT). Exports of 8,500 MT were mainly to Mexico
(4,800 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), Taiwan (600 MT), Japan (600 MT), Vietnam
(400 MT), Moldova (300 MT), and Russia (200 MT). Note: Accumulated
exports were adjusted down by 8,100 metric tons, including Mexico (5,400
MT), Canada (1,500 MT), Vietnam (400 MT), Japan (300 MT), Hong Kong (200
MT), Taiwan (200 MT), and Albania (100 MT).
