06 de septiembre de 2010, 17:55Moscow, Sep 6 (Prensa Latina) Russia and
Cuba want to deepen cooperation in information and communication, as
well as bilateral ties with a visit to this capital of the Cuban Deputy
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ana Teresa Gonzalez Fraga.
"The visit aims to give continuity to information communication ties
that we have been developing since 2004", Gonzalez told Prensa Latina.
"On this occasion we also analyzed aspects of mutual interest and how to
contribute to make Cuba's messages more known in Russia and vice versa",
Gonzalez said.
"I think that relations between Cuba and Russia are experiencing a
superior time qualitatively speaking.
"This year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the restoration of
diplomatic ties and 65 of the Victory over fascism", Gonzalez stressed.
Russia was the guest of honour at the International Book Fair of Havana
in February and at the Tourism Fair, to which are added other activities
in both countries to mark the 50th anniversary of relations, Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez met with her Russian counterpart, the official spokesman of the
Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Nesterenko, and talked about possible
ways to strengthen cooperation in information and communication.
They also discussed current international issues that concern both
countries, such as ties with Latin America and the international
situation in general and the challenges that countries like Russia and
Cuba are facing with regard to climate change, Gonzalez said.
