A delegation of the British parliament's Cuba Initiative will be in
Havana at the end of September, the London-based Caribbean Council
announced in its newsletter.
The group, led by Ian Taylor, a Conservative member of parliament and
former science and technology minister, will hold meetings with
ministers and the British ambassador in Havana. The visit is being
organized by the Cuban side of the Initiative, which is chaired by
Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca.
"Representatives will have an opportunity to present their companies'
commercial interests in Cuba and to discuss any new or existing business
ventures," the Caribbean Council newsletter said.
